I started a new thread for you guys to give me some feedback on problems that you might be having with posting and other stuff.

Thanks Dano for reporting the issues you are having.  It helps me to fix things if I know that they are broken in the first place.

It looks like I need to fix up the permissions.  Please try again and let me know if it's any better/worse now. I don't know why you say that  you can't copy and paste though.   That is a function of your own browser.  Maybe I don't understand what you mean exactly ...

I am using FireFox browser with the rich text editor.  It may be that you are using Internet Explorer 7 and the server is not working properly.  I have had reports of Internet Explorer 7 not working properly here.

Ah well, maybe it's time for me to upgrade this thing to the latest version.  I've been putting it off because it's a bit of work and the forum hasn't been used much until recently.

Anyway, I really appreciate that you took the time to post a report ... it helps a lot when people let me know when there are problems; otherwise I can't fix things that are broken without doing a lot of testing on my own.  I usually log in as an administrator (PL#-43) and that user has ALL permissions allowed so things tend to work pretty well that wayWink [;)]
 
 OK I just edited this post ... permissions for this user are set to be the same as yours, Dano. I'm also using Internet Explorer 7 this time. The editor isn't as nice because the server doesn't recognize IE7 and defaults to the plain text editor. However, I CAN make edits, so maybe the permissions are fixed now. 

Another problem is that when you use IE7 with the dumb editor, it hoses all of the HTML formatting.

Just edit your profile by clicking on your name in the upper right hand corner of the site home page.  There, you can enable your avatar and upload the picture to your profile.

Angry [:@] OK.  A few others are having problems too, so I think it's time for me to switch forum software.  I'm working on using SMF instead ... seems to be more widely used and hopefully will work much better.  I considered upgrading the current version of what I'm using now (Community Server), which was free, but the newest version would cost me $2000 !!!!  Forget that!

I will send out a notice to everyone when the new message board is ready to go.

I'm not having any problems at all Hector. Maybe it's because I don't know much about computers but everything works just fine for me. :-) Thanks for everything you do Hector we all appreciate it!!!!!!!!!!

Whats happening.... Hope I didnt come off too crass... NOPE, I cant stand IE anything except maybe IE4.0, but I dont use IE. I am useing OPERA 9.4

Just weird stuff happens all the time like I expressed b4....

It also seems to me that when I first signed uP (the first time b4 I had password issues early 2k6) That we use to be able to add smilies to the BODY and not just the subject line...?
